In recent rounds of Lucha Libre competition, Hera and Olympia, as well as Johnnie Robbie and Viva Van, were eliminated from the contest. India Siouxtambién made history by winning the Women's National Championship after forcing Sanely to submit with a leg lock at the Cathedral of Lucha Libre.

In a standout evening of the Friday Spectacular at the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, Dark Silueta was crowned champion of the third edition of the Irma González Cup by defeating La Jarochita in the final, among six other participating wrestlers. This entirely female event took place at Arena México in celebration of International Women's Day, with the presence of personalities such as the legend Irma González, Mari José Alcalá of the Mexican Olympic Committee, and Gala Lutteroth, Director of Interinstitutional Relations.

In the main event of the night, Persephone challenged Zeuxis for the Women's World Championship in an exciting matchup where Zeuxis's experience was crucial in retaining her title. Additionally, the eliminations for the Women's World Tag Team Championship were opened, with Valkyria defeating Lady Metal in the opening match.

The participation of judges Thelma Barrón and La Vaquerita was highlighted, as well as that of female presenters and commentators in this special event that included the remarkable performance of Taya Valkyrie and Lady Frost from All Elite Wrestling as they advanced to the final by defeating Kira and Skadi in the first stage of the competition.
